OUR PEOPLE
IN MEMORIAM Jim Snel (1951 - 2007), one of the principal founders of Elexos Corporation passed away on December 17, 2007. Jim was a legendary figure in the world of custom audio-video and one of the pioneers of Crestron programming. Elexos was the most recent of the sucessful businesses Jim founded in the audio-video industry. He had previously established a four store, high-end A/V salon in El Paso, Texas and another dealership in Austin.
Later he formed One L, Inc, a custom A/V integration firm in Chicago. He became engrossed in the emerging control system developments and was invited to become one of the "charter" members of Crestron Authorized Independent Programmers (CAIP). In 2003 Jim merged One L, Inc. into Elexos Corporation. He partnered with two technology services veterans, adding an executive and financial officer, additional capital and a new vision to take the CAIP business "to the next level." They developed a world-class technical staff and Jim was eventually able to focus on business development and the vast industry relationships that were so important to him.

Jim was an enormously personable individual. He made close friends out of almost everyone he worked with, and he is deeply missed.
