When a Fortune 1000 provider of technology products and services looked to create an executive boardroom to advance the operations and communications capability of its headquarter facilities, they sought a solution that was far more than functional, it also had to reflect their own high standard of excellence. To achieve this goal, Elexos partnered with an integrator where we contributed our commercial expertise in Crestron design, documentation and programming to deliver a great customer solution. While technology played a large role in this project, it was not the only requirement – reliability and ease-of-use were critical to minimize the demands on the IT staff from an ongoing support and maintenance perspective.

Crestron’s QuickMedia products create the platform on which the system was built providing everything from source input and switching to amplification and control. A QM-WMC handles the audio and video input of fixed presentation sources such as a DVD and VCR. A total of eight QM-FTMC flip top interfaces conceal inputs for potential composite, s-video and RGB sources. These interfaces allow presentations to be delivered from the podium or any location at the conference table.

Adding both versatility and value to the system three methods of control were provided. For simplicity and convenience the customizable hard keys on each of the flip top boxes give any participant the ability to start or end a presentation with the touch of a single button.
